            Vyasa’s First Pongal was celebrated in a grand manner. Arts and Science groups kept their Pongal separately,  they constructed ‘ Chiru Veddu’ (Small Hut) of their own and arranged all Cheervarisai Things.

            First pongal cheervarisai things were brought by office staff & all elected leaders with Nathaswaram & melam in a traditional way. They were welcomed by Chairman Sir, M.D Madam & Principal Madam in front of their Chiru Veedu. After wards Pongal was prepared.

            While preparing, cultural troop from Rack Dance Academy headed by Mr. Arokium exhibited their skills through Karagam, Paraiyattum, Olylattum & Songs.

            After Pongal preparation, all faculty members went around by Clapping hands & dance. Then Pooja was done by Principal Madam & everything was offered to Sun God.

            Pongal parcels were distributed to all 500 students & Non-Teaching staff.

            After lunch, Vyasites Dances department wise for Pongal   dance. Then, Tamil traditional games were conducted for Ayyahs (Pallankuzhi & Thattankal) & all gents (Chellankuchi & Pambaram). Prizes were distributed to all winners.

            All staff & students came in Colourful Tamil Traditional costumes. Finally Dr. Pandiammal, Head of Tamil Department gave vote of thanks. With that the celebration came to an end.
