Vyasa College’s Second Unit’s National Service Scheme (N.S.S) special camp was held at Koodalore village, Sivagiri taluk and Tenkasi district from 23.12.2019 to 29.12.219. It was inaugurated by smt. C. Chandra, Block Development Officer, Vasudevanallur in the presence of all working committee members. Then, School campus and nearby temple was cleaned by the students. On 24.12.2019, students were divided into 5 groups and visited all 5 streets houses to create awareness on cleanliness, importance of toilets, education and a questionnaire was filled in house wise. Demonstrations of 108 ambulance service preventing fire accidents, free eye camp in collaboration with Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital, Tirunelveli, Special speeches on old parents care, spirituality were held. Value based songs on Child labour, importance of nutritious food were given by students. A drama on “Morality” was depicted by them. Rangoli competitions were held for the women of the village, and prizes were distributed. A colourful dance event were also there to entertain village people. Students rally with values name boards was there around village. Valedictory function was held on 29.12.2019, Sunday. The Chief Guest were Smt. Backyalakshmi, Revenue Inspector and Smt. Puthiarani, Village Administrative Officer. Prizes and certificates were distributed. With a vote of thanks, the camp came to a close.
